The above CEO interview offers some very, very good insights into U.S. Gold Corp. (NASDAQ: USAU) mining properties, recent results and next steps.
We found it especially interesting the way Mr. Karr mentions a potential find yet this summer.
Gold Play with a Firm Future an Investor Value Opportunity
Top notch management team
Exploration projects with amazing mineral projections data
Good day everyone,
Today we are continuing our coverage of U.S. Gold Corp. (NASDAQ: USAU), a junior gold exploration and development company.
This morning we talked about former Secretary of the interior, the Honorable Ryan Zinke, joining the USAU team as a director and consultant.
But why did Secretary Zinke choose US Gold Corp.? we’re guessing, with his impressive resume’ he had a lot of choices.
USAU has two qualities that would attract a heavyweight like Secretary Zinke. Their management team and their projects.
First, much of the driving force behind USAU are Edward Karr, President, CEO, and Director, and Dave Mathewson VP, Head of Exploration.
Edward Karr has been active in the natural resource industry for years. Mr. Karr was a Founder of Pershing Gold Corp. (recently merged with Americas Silver Corporation (USAS). He is a past contributor to CNBC and has been quoted in numerous financial publications. Mr. Karr worked for Prudential Securities in the United States and has been in the financial services industry for over twenty years.
Dave Mathewson discovered the claims that comprise the company’s Keystone project and has been leading the development of them. Mathewson is known as a sort of an exploration guru in the Nevada gold mining industry. Mathewson has 35 years of exploration experience in Nevada alone.
Dave, though a graduate geologist, is most comfortable stomping around the drilling sites. Dave knows the gold fields, and the claims he has developed for others over the years have produced millions of ounces of gold.
Notable discoveries Dave made while Head of Newmont Nevada’s Exploration team from 1989 through 2001 include: Tess, Northwest Rain, Saddle and South Emigrant in the Rain mining district. Most recently his work at Gold Standard Ventures led to the consolidation of the Railroad-Pinion district and the North Bullion & Bald Mountain discoveries.
Dave helped found Gold Standard Ventures Corp (GSV) in 2009 and managed their exploration program until mid-2014. GSV is a publicly traded company with a market cap of $291 million.
Secondly, Secretary Zinke may have been attracted to USAU by the quality of their projects. The Cortez Trend in Nevada, where the USAU Keystone and Gold Bar North projects are located, is one of the most prolific gold mining areas in America. Barrick Gold and Newmont mining have gold mining operations there (within a few miles of the USAU projects). The company’s exploratory drilling results have been positive for indications of gold deposits.
The Copper King project in Wyoming, has a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) report, authored by Mine Development Associates (MDA), dated December 5, 2017, showing a $178.5 million Net Present Value.
US Gold Corp has everything lined up for actual mining success; studies showing their projects could be potential blockbusters, a stellar management team (now including Secretary Zinke), and a tiny float with a share price under $1.50.
We don’t believe there is another gold explorer investment out there that has all these particular attributes and upside potential.
